Parks

The City of Hemphill operates three parks facilities within the City.  These are the Dr. Mann City Park on Lillian St/FM 944, the City Lake/Dam Park located on FM 1175, and the Dixie League Ballpark located on Ballpark Street. 

The Dr. Mann City Park has the following facilities:

• Walking Trail
• Tennis Courts
• Pavilion
• Bathrooms
• Playground equipment
• Frisbee Golf Court/Baskets
• Picnic tables
• Basketball Court with two goals.

The City Lake/Dam Park has the following facilities:

• Basketball Court with goal
• City Lake
• Picnic tables

The Dixie League Park is leased to the Hemphill Dixie League, although the city does budget funds for the upkeep of the park.  This park has three ballfields, concession stands, bathroom facilities, and batting cages. 

The City takes pride in providing clean and aesthetically pleasing park facilities, and the City does try to budget funds, when available, to improve the park facilities.  Please report any problems with any park facilities to City Hall at (409) 787-2251 in order for our city staff to address the issue or problem.  The City appreciates citizens who take the time to keep our parks clean and to report any issues or problems.
